Adding the missing puzzle elements to the demo ...

Hi all, I've been beavering away lately on expanding out the demo. I plan to make a "definitive" demo that includes a glimpse or tease of all the major components of the main game.

Turns out that going to be quite a lot - am I adding too much? Nah - don't be silly.

Anyway here's a list of what's going to be in the next demo release.

Combat - The Shake Lamp, which is currently mainly used as a light source to help the player find their way through the dark now has another function. It is a volatile device and if dropped from a large enough height will explode - very useful for taking out any pesky guard robots blocking the route, igniting of explosives or simply causing accidental damage to yourself.

Energy Cubes - initially these small cubes just lay around waiting to be sucked up by the player. These have become a sort of small sentient creatures that will follow after the player in a large group. In this way the player can heard them around and power up some of the old machinery found lying around the space craft if needed.

Teetor Totter Puzzle (or seesaw as it's probably more commanly known) - this is a physics based puzzle that involves the rescue of an abandoned robot.

Flooded tunnels - Before we meet the fluid puzzles near the end of the demo, we get a sort of gentle introdution to what fluid can do for the player. Here the player finds themselves in the lower depths space ship.

Massive Machinery Climb - After falling to the bowels of the ship the player eventually finds themselves at the foot of a large machinery. Here the player must use their climbing skills to ascend back to the upper levels of the space craft.

Mechanical Locks - The demo also introduces the idea of the sideways operated tumblers. These double up as a climbing device when opened out. And are seen later in the demo at the massive machinery climb. We introduce them here to show how they operate. In this case the player must figure out what positions are correct to allow the door to open.

This is all currently in development - keep an eye out for when the next demo drops to see it all in action.

Thanks for reading :p
